Our parish community encourages our parish households to form and participate in "House Churches." House churches are small Christian communities which are a continuing and essential part of the parish.
The purpose of the house church is to provide parishioners with an opportunity to respond more fully to the Gospel call to prayer, to facilitate ongoing faith formation, outreach and fellowship, to energize personal relationships among members, and to create a stronger community of followers who act as "one in Christ."
House churches normally are composed of at least ten families from the same geographical area or neighborhood. Membership in a house church is open to all registered members of the St. Kateri Catholic Community and their families.
Each house church chooses its own leader for the year. The leader serves as a facilitator and represents the house church in the House Church Leadership Committee which has a representation in the Parish Pastoral Council.
